Respite Care

We can help

Fun in the Ball Pool
Zoë's Place staff deliver specialist nursing care and support for infants from birth to 5 years old, who have a wide range of physical disabilities and life limiting illnesses/special needs, but do not require care in an acute setting.

This may be respite or extended stays which are tailored to meet the individual needs of the infant and their family.

We have a family centred approach to the care of individual infants and compile their records of care through detailed planning and assessment with the parent/guardian, recognising the knowledge and expertise parents, guardians and families have  in the daily living arrangements and care requirements for their children. Together we plan a programme of care to suit each individual child's needs. Senior members of our team have considerable experience in caring for sick children and children with special and complex needs. They aim to anticipate all of their special requirements.

To ensure that appropriate care is provided for each child, we form close bonds with families, outside agencies and Health Care professionals. A senior member of Zoë's Place will be assigned to each family and will endeavour to attend any case conferences held with  other health care professionals/agencies involved in the infants care to report on the child's progress during their stays at Zoë's Place.

We offer support

In an ideal world every baby is born healthy. Unfortunately sometimes things go wrong and parents find their lives turned upside down. At Zoë's Place we offer support not only to infants but also to parents  who find themselves in the position of being full time carers along with their many other responsibilities. In many cases other children still need their parents care and attention.

Things change overnight for these families.  Family life fades into a blur spontaneity is replaced with orderly schedules, routines and appointments.  Parents have less time to spend with other siblings.

Who will be there to help?

The answer to this question is Zoë's Place.
